AI Consulting for Business
Everybody's selling you AI. Almost nobody's telling you which parts are worth your money.
Your software vendors have added AI features. Your competitors claim they're using it. Your employees are already pasting company information into chatbots you didn't approve. And somewhere in there is a real opportunity — a few specific things that would genuinely save your business time.
Our job is to help you find those few things, skip the rest, and do it without handing your data to the internet.
We wrote the book on this. Literally.
Justin Lenkey, our Managing Director, is a two-time Amazon best-selling author and an award-winning speaker. His book Beyond the Prompt: The Business Owner's Guide to Understanding AI is a plain-English guide to using AI in a business without exposing your company's information.
He speaks regularly to business groups across Northwest Ohio on secure AI adoption — most recently at the Perrysburg Chamber.
That matters for one practical reason: we're going to explain this to you in language you can repeat to your leadership team. Not buzzwords.

Start with an AI Readiness Assessment
This is where we'd suggest beginning, and it's deliberately a small, defined engagement rather than an open-ended "AI strategy" project.
Over a short, structured review we look at four things:
- Where AI would actually help you. We look at how work really moves through your business — quoting, order entry, scheduling, document handling, customer service — and identify the handful of places where AI saves real hours. Most businesses have two or three. Very few have twenty.
- What you're already exposed to. Shadow AI is the quiet problem. Staff adopt free tools on their own, with good intentions, and company information ends up somewhere you can't see. We find out what's in use before we recommend anything new.
- Whether your data is ready. This is the step most people skip. AI tools surface whatever your permissions let them surface. If your file shares have been accumulating since 2015 with permissions nobody's audited, that's a problem to solve before you turn anything on, not after.
- What it costs and what it returns. Real licensing numbers, real implementation effort, and an honest read on payback — including the cases where the honest answer is "not yet."
You get a written assessment you keep, whether or not you hire us for the work.
What we help businesses actually do with AI
Concrete things, not capability claims:
- Microsoft 365 Copilot. If you're already a Microsoft shop, this is usually the first honest conversation — it works inside the tools your people use daily and keeps data within your tenant. See our Copilot page.
- Custom AI assistants. A quoting assistant, an internal policy lookup, a service-desk triage bot — built on your own information, available to your own staff. See AI agent development.
- Document and data handling. Pulling information out of invoices, packing slips, forms and PDFs so people stop retyping it.
- Process automation. Often the honest answer isn't AI at all — it's straightforward automation that costs less and breaks less. We'll tell you when that's the case.
- AI governance and acceptable use. A written policy your staff can actually follow, so people know what they may and may not put into these tools.
- Staff training. The gap is rarely the technology. It's that nobody has shown your team what good use looks like.
The part most AI consultants skip
We're an IT and security company first. That shapes how we approach this.
Every AI conversation we have includes where your data goes, who can see it, whether it's used to train someone else's model, and what your obligations are if you're handling health information, cardholder data, student records or anything covered by a customer's security requirements.
If you're in a regulated industry or you supply a customer who audits you, that isn't a footnote. It's the whole conversation.
Three ways to start
- Get the book. Free, no obligation. Read it and decide whether we think clearly about this.
- Download the AI toolkit. A plain-English map of which tools are worth your time, a quick win you can try this week, and a short checklist for protecting sensitive information.
- Book an AI Readiness Assessment. Call 419-419-5737 or send us a message.
If you want someone to talk to your group, association or chamber about secure AI adoption, ask us about that too — it's something we do regularly.
